Chippendale Gainsborough Chair

This handsome carved mahogany library or ‘Gainsborough’ armchair has a gently curving back and shaped arms which have acanthus leaf carved scrolled handles and leaf carved moulded supports. The padded seat is raised on moulded cabriole legs decorated with carved cabuchons, leaves and scrolls and stands on tightly scrolled toes.
